"Equipment helps us do stuff"

There is a range of equipment available for your use from the students' union and the university. This includes:

  • computers
  • video cameras
  • DVD and video players
  • projectors
  • first aid kits

If equipment is required to coincide with a room booking this must be done at the same time as you book the room (see How2"¦ book a room ).

If equipment is required for a one-off event you must notify the relevant person (for sports bookings contact Mark2.Foster@uwe.ac.uk , for societies contact Chris.Anthony@uwe.ac.uk or contact the relevant staff member at your site) at least 5 working days before the start of the booking with details of when, where, and for how long you require the equipment.

Confirmation of the booking will be given to you over email when the booking has been finalised. You will then be responsible for the equipment between the times you have booked it and will be liable for the cost of damage or replacement if necessary.

N.B. AV services' (for non-SU equipment) working hours run from 9.00 - 16.30 so in the case of an evening booking you may be required to look after the equipment until the start of the booking and it's safety over night. Arrangements for this will be made on an individual basis.

Club/Society Equipment

Many clubs and societies will also have their own equipment. This will need to be signed out at the Sports and Activities Centre. This includes first aid kits. Equipment can be taken out for up to a term (a year in special cases) and you will be responsible for it's safety throughout this time. If kit is not returned as it was signed out, e.g. there is damage or loss, you will be charged.
