If you are fun loving and enthusiastic, fit and healthy, love to dance and do gymnastics, and most importantly, be committed to do something incredible then Comets Cheerleading is the society for you. We attend numerous regional and national competitions throughout the year, competing against professional squads and those from other universities.

We have a great relationship with our American football team, the UWE Bristol Bullets. We cheer at games and so often have socials together too.

Last year’s successes-

ICC Senior Level 3 British Open Cheerleading and Dance Championships- 3rd and 5th

BCA University Championships- Intermediate Co-ed position- 3rd, Advanced All Girl- 2nd

BCA Midlands Classics- Intermediate Co-ed- 2nd, University All Girl- 1st

Where They Train / Meet

We meet twice a week to train, on Wednesday between 8-10pm and Sunday 7-9pm, both at the gym on St Matts Campus. We also cheer the boys on at home and away games most Sundays.

We aim to attend at least 3 competitions a year around the country.

Members have to be totally committed to training and to the squad. It’s a team effort so dedication and enthusiasm are a must!

We welcome all levels of experience from those who have never cheered before to those who have.
