Come - Fly Higher with UWEAeS...
UWEAeS aims to promote and contribute towards the furtherance of the activity of the aerospace/engineering significance at the University of the West of England. The Society organizes tours to various air shows (Farnborough, Royal International Air Tattoo), aerospace industries (Airbus Aircraft Final Assembly Line, Concorde), encourage students to attend work and career based learning, participate in aerospace events etc. The society aims to get affiliated / associated with national aerospace societies (Royal Aeronautical Society, West of England Aerospace Forum and European Association of Aerospace Students) and aerospace companies (Airbus, Rolls-Royce, BAe Systems etc).
To help with work placement applications and liaise with UWE placements office.
To have more industrial based final year projects – I.e. group of students to contact the companies with their preliminary ideas and visit the industrial site / factory.
Share information on and network in the aerospace community for the benefit of members.
Where They Train / Meet
Society meeting in meeting or lecture rooms to be confirmed.Informal drink after each meeting in Core 24 or SU Bar. Social gatherings after exams and major hand-in dates to celebrate and relax.

- Red Bull Air Race, London – 2nd & 3rd of August
- Concorde Tour , Filton : Beginning of New Term, September. (We have to Organise One)
- The Autumn Graduate Fair, Birmingham – 17th of October
- National Graduate Recruitment Exhibition London – 2nd or 3rd Week of October (TBA)
- RAeS Aerospace and Aviation Careers Fair – 7th of November
- BAE Systems ,One to One Sessions with Engineering Graduates , Sheffield – 2nd of Feb
- Airbus Toulouse, Seville, Bremen – Final Assembly Lines, Anytime
