In the current climate of Education, many people need and want to get more out of University than just a degree. There's a saying that goes "Don't just get a degree, get an education!" Getting a degree at University doesn't necessarily mean as much as it used to! To be attractive to the 'real' world you may need extra transferable life skills.

- Check that your activitiy doesn't duplicate a current society (check the list
design/uwesu/override/templates/popuplink.tpl
here ) as we can't fund two similar activities. - Get the names of 15 interested current UWE students, choosing a committee of three members from them.
- Hand-in a

society profile to the Activities Centre (Frenchay campus, room 5F2) - Attend the next Activities Council (see the list of councils
design/uwesu/override/templates/popuplink.tpl
here ) where you will be asked to give a brief explaination of your society's aims. The council will then vote. - If successful (and most are!) you will finally have to attend a training session where all the ins and out of society life are explained.
