Description

American Football is high-tempo, aggressive, but most importantly fun and a good change of pace for those bored of conventional sport.
American football is your chance to make 50 friends in an instance, 50 buddies who can show you about town, have a laugh and a drink with you and introdce you to our good friends the Comets Cheerleaders.
The Bullets are one of the premier American Football squads in the country who annually make it to play-off competition, we work hard on the practice field, at the track and in the gym because we like to win, especially in Varsity against Britol University’s Barracuda
But We also like to play hard, and we socialise all the time, with nights out around the city, poker nights, bowling and loads more.
American Football is expanding in this country with many teams at Youth (U19), University and Senior (18+) levels, all with the prospect of participating at the advanced level with the Great Britain Squad, anyone can do it no matter how long they have been playing.

Where they train/meet

Currently the club meets once mid week for training- Wednesday night 8-10:30 on the Frenchay Astro-turf; the club also trains on Sundays during the preseason, times vary, normally 11am-3pm.

The season kicks off in November and games also take place on Sundays.

After games the club holds a compulsory social with the opposition, and more importantly a free meal, at our post-game sponsor, which was O’Neil’s this year.

The club also holds a joint social once a month with Comets Cheerleading, with the aim of having a themed night or just a good time. Players are encouraged to, and do often, get together regularly whether it be on one of Bristol’s many nightclubs and bars, or for a change of pace bowling, cinema, poker, or a meal.

We take our sport very seriously and we hope new members can share in our dedication to the success of the club and UWESport, we work hard and we play hard but that doesn’t mean we don’t have fun and enjoy ourselves along the way.
