About the Advice Centre
The main SU Advice Centre office is located on the 2F patio, next to the JobShop at Frenchay and is staffed by two full time experienced advisers. We also have a third experienced adviser based at Glenside and St.Matt's on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during term time.
We are open 9.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday, including the summer holidays and have advisers at all of UWE's Bristol campuses at various times throughout the week during term time.

Students can drop in, call, email or post a question online for advice and information. If you are not based at Frenchay though you can still access the Advice Centre. If you are based at Bower Ashton, an adviser is available every Tuesday between 10am and 12 noon during term time in the SU office -just drop-in, no appointment is necessary!
Glenside and St.Matt's students also have an adviser on campus every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during term-time. Pop into your SU office for more information.
If you are based at Hartpury and are a UWE student, we haven't forgotten you - you can seek advice and guidance from Wendy in the SU Office. The office is staffed Monday-Friday during term time.
If you need to contact the Advice Centre outside of the times when an adviser is on your campus then just pop in and see the member of staff in your SU office and they will put you in touch with us.
The Advice Centre is independent from the University which means that anything you tell us will not appear on your student file. We will also not speak to a member of UWE staff about you unless we have your signed authorisation to do so. Anything you tell us will be in the strictest confidence. Our service is free to all students and the advice offered is impatial, non-judgmental and totally independant as we are not part of the University.
We offer advice on a range of issues including academic, accommodation, funding and employment; we provide representation at any meeting you may have with the University to ensure that your rights as a student are upheld.
Issues that come into the Advice Centre may affect groups of students and if we believe this to be the case we will ask one of the Elected Officers to raise the issue with the University and maybe even run a campaign.
