The Sports Council is your forum to express queries or concerns and ensure your club is run successfully.
What is it:
Sports Council is your chance to get involved with the way that your students' union is run. Representatives from all sports clubs meet five times a year to discuss all manner of topics that affect students. The council has contributed to the development of the new sports facility and supports and oversees the Varsity series and Sports Awards Dinner. An open meeting is held at the start of every year for you to come along to experience the type of meeting that can help to shape your experience at UWE.
When is it?
The meetings for next academic year 2008 - 2009 will be held in 2D7 on Frenchay Campus, from 5.30pm - 7.30pm on the following dates:
- Thursday 9th October 2008
- Thursday 4th December 2008
- Thursday 29th January 2009
- Thursday 5th March 2009
- Thursday 30th April 2009
Who should attend?
A representative from each sports club, usually the President, must attend the Council meetings.

Motions are a vital tool to get policies and proceedures that you want through Sports Council and supported by the Students' Union.
